The original relies on a chiming Matchless DC-30 pushed with transparent King of Tone style dirt. On the Player Strat, the bridge+middle (Position 4) pickup provides classic pop-worship clarity while taming harsh high frequencies. We compensate for Strat single coils by pushing the Ampero amp block's mids to 6 and smoothing the top end. Clean verse: bypass the King of OD block, keeping the delay and reverb active.
