To emulate Felder's cranked Tweed 5E3 and thick Les Paul PAF humbuckers using a Stratocaster, the amp's FAT boost is engaged and Middle pushed to 8 to compensate for single-coil mid scoop. Treble is dialed down to 5 and the Strat tone control rolled back to 7 to shave the glass off the top end. Reverb is set conservatively to 3 to reflect the subtle studio chamber ambience. Clean intro 12-string fills: switch to bridge+middle and disengage the FAT switch.

PRO TIPRoll the Strat's dedicated neck tone control down to around 6.5–7 to simulate the woodier, vocal midrange of a PAF humbucker pushing a sagging tweed power section without losing note articulation.
