Why these settings

The Mooer Hornet 15 is a small solid-state modeling amp with limited gain depth compared to the Randall/Mesa hybrid original. I've set gain at 7 rather than maxing it because small-speaker amps lose definition when oversaturated in Drop C. Mid is dropped to 4 to approximate the scooped modern metal character, but the Hornet won't achieve the original's tight gated response without a TS-style pedal in front — that pedal is critical for this tone.

PRO TIPPalm mute hard and pick close to the bridge for the percussive attack Donegan uses — the fast tremolo riff requires precise muting or the low C string blooms into mud. If you can't get a Tube Screamer, keep the amp's bass at 4 instead of 5 to compensate for the loose low-end.
