Engage onboard stomp compressor or mild clean boost inside preset for extra tweed singing sustain
The Mustang LT25 lacks a dedicated mid knob on its faceplate, so we cut bass to 4 and push treble to 7 on the 50s Champ model to replicate the naturally truncated low end and cutting top-end bite of a dimed 8-inch tweed speaker. Because the PRS SE humbuckers have higher output and thicker midrange than Clapton's 1956 Strat single-coils, rolling your guitar tone knob back slightly to 8 smooths out harsh transient spikes while keeping the attack sharp. Gain is set high at 9 to emulate the power-tube sag and singing compression of a fully cranked Champ.
