The Mustang LT25’s '50s Champ model captures the small-speaker breakup of the original recording when pushed to high gain. Single coils on the Squier Affinity Strat provide the necessary high-end bite, but keeping the digital bass set to 4 prevents flubby low-end blowout. Mid and treble are boosted to recreate the aggressive forward cut of Clapton's cranked tweed circuit.
