Original uses a 7-string with hot humbuckers into a Marshall preamp/Mesa power section—massive low-end and compressed saturation. Your Tele's single-coil bridge is brighter and lower output, so bass raised to 7 (vs original 6.5) to compensate for the thinner low-end, and mid stays scooped at 3 to match the nu-metal scoop. The Mustang's Metal 2000 model is the closest to that JMP-1 high-gain voicing. Gain at 8 pushes the modeling into similar saturation territory. Without a 7-string, you physically cannot reach the sub-low frequencies—focus on the grinding upper harmonics instead.
