The Zoom B1 Four is a bass multi-FX unit — its amp models and EQ are voiced for bass frequencies, not guitar. The MS 1959 model approximates Marshall grind but will lack the tight 80-200Hz guitar-cab focus. Scooping 400-800Hz via the GEQ compensates for the bass-forward voicing. Your GRG170DX's Infinity humbuckers are hotter than the original JBs, so gain 8 (not 9-10) keeps the tone from becoming muddy. PRO TIPTune to Drop C# (C#-G#-C#-F#-A#-D#) and palm-mute directly over the bridge saddles — Carpenter's chug is extremely tight and short, almost percussive. Pick hard and let the noise gate snap the note off cleanly.
