Onboard stomp block used as a clean boost to tighten the low end and add upper-mid bite
The METAL 2000 model supplies the aggressive, saturated low-end crunch of Kirk Windstein's blended high-gain rig. To compensate for the Stratocaster's brighter, lower-output single coils compared to the original EMG 81 humbuckers, bass is pushed to 8, treble pulled back to 5, and the onboard OVERDRIVE block is run with high level and low drive to tighten the attack without thinning the sludge. The track is mixed bone-dry, so the preset REV box is left empty. Middle has no knob on the LT25: press the encoder to open the preset, press it again on the amp model, then select MIDDLE on the display and turn the encoder.
