01Reverb pedal (hall or plate type)
RECOMMENDED — not currently owned. Essential for this tone. TC Electronic Hall of Fame, Boss RV-6, or Behringer RV600 are budget options. Set mix extremely wet (70-80%). This tone is unreachable without heavy reverb.
The Frontman 10G has no mid or reverb controls — this tone is fundamentally unreachable without an external reverb pedal. I've set gain low (3) to stay pristine clean since the original uses zero amp breakup, and rolled treble back (4) because the Frontman's small speaker is naturally harsh. Bass at 6 compensates for the 6" speaker's thin low-end vs the massive Ampeg SVT cabinet.
