Why these settings

The original uses hot EMG 81 humbuckers into a cranked Marshall — your Squier's single coils are significantly lower output and brighter. Compensate with gain pushed to 8 (vs ~4-5 on a humbucker setup), bass boosted to 7 for thickness, and mids scooped to 3 for that signature COB scoop. The Brown amp type on Katana Mini approximates the Marshall mid-forward voicing. Without a Tube Screamer to tighten the low end, keep tone knob at 8 to retain some cut without ice-pick highs.

PRO TIPTune down to D standard as on the recording — the lower tension lets single coils fatten up slightly, and the riffs were written for that register. Pick aggressively right over the bridge pickup pole pieces for maximum attack and note definition on the fast alternate-picked sections.
