Use as a clean boost to tighten low-end and add pick attack before the amp's preamp section
The Brown channel emulates the 6505's saturated preamp character. Your Kramer's passive HSS bridge humbucker has less output than the original EMG 81s, so gain stays at 7 rather than the 5-6 you'd use with actives. Mids scooped to 3 replicates the deathcore scoop, but the Katana's Brown voice is less inherently scooped than a real 6505, so we cut harder. SD-1 with drive at 1 acts as a tight boost like the original Maxon OD808.
