01Big Muff Pi (modeled block) — RECOMMENDED

RECOMMENDED — not currently owned. Use the Line 6 built-in Big Muff or 'Triangle Fuzz' model. Tone at 4 prevents fizzy top-end; this is your primary gain source for the main riff

Volume 6 · Tone 4 · Sustain 6

02Digital Delay (modeled block) — RECOMMENDED

RECOMMENDED — use Line 6 built-in delay block. Set ~350-400ms dotted-eighth feel for the atmospheric wash

Mix/Level 3 · Feedback 3 · Time 5
Why these settings

Your Ibanez RG550's hot humbuckers are significantly darker and higher-output than Shultz's thin Mustang single-coils. I raised mid +2 vs typical settings to compensate for the humbucker's scooped character, and rolled your tone knob to 7 to tame the RG's aggressive high-end. Amp gain stays at 2 because all dirt comes from the fuzz block — stacking amp gain would create undefined mud.

PRO TIPShultz's secret is aggressive pick attack with a clean amp foundation — dig in hard near the bridge to get that string-separation clarity. Roll your guitar volume to 7-8 during verses to clean up the fuzz dynamically, then slam it to 9 for the chorus swell.
