The Champion 110 is a solid-state Fender with a naturally scooped, bright voicing—opposite of the mid-forward JCM800 original. Pushed mids to 8 to compensate for Fender scoop. Dropped treble to 6 (from original's 7-8) because the Champion's treble is harsh at high gain. The Cort CR100's humbuckers are a good match for Sambora's Charvel bridge pickup—no gain adjustment needed there.

PRO TIPFor the iconic palm-muted intro riff, mute hard directly over the bridge saddles and use all downstrokes—the attack consistency is what makes it punch through the mix. Roll your tone knob to 6 during the verse for a slightly darker chug, then open to 8 for the chorus bite.
