Because the Hendrix Strat uses bright, low-output reverse single-coils rather than DeLonge's ultra-hot bridge humbucker, mids are pushed to 8 and treble is tempered to 5 to fatten the attack. Adding a dedicated distortion pedal later will allow you to switch the amp to a clean headroom platform at gain 2-3 to nail the record's tight low-end punch.
