Why these settings

The MG30CFX lacks a physical presence knob so that control is omitted. Because your Squier Strat has brighter single coils compared to the high-output Seymour Duncan Invader used by Tom DeLonge, the neck pickup with tone rolled back slightly warms up the attack, while bumping bass to 7 on the amp compensates for single-coil low-end roll-off. Keep the channel on Clean with low gain to prevent solid-state grit on the clean arpeggios.

PRO TIPPick the intro arpeggio right over the neck pickup using medium-firm downstrokes with a heavy pick (0.88mm+) to get the rounded, percussive warmth of the studio cut without string harshness.
