The Zoom G1X Four lacks a dedicated Laney Supergroup model, so the MS 800 provides the necessary British-voiced power section and aggressive mid bite. Tony Iommi dialed bass to zero and pushed mids and treble wide open to accommodate the Dallas Rangemaster; with the hotter humbuckers on the Ibanez GRG170DX, keep bass low at 3 and push mids to 9 to prevent low-end mud. The internal Booster block pushes the preamp gain stage just like Iommi's modified Rangemaster treble booster.

PRO TIPTony Iommi used ultra-light gauge strings (.008s tuned to standard E on this track) and relied on heavy, downward pick attack near the bridge with wrapped-tip prosthetics—pick aggressively right next to the bridge saddles to get that signature sharp, percussive bite.
