Why these settings

The Acoustic G20 is a 20W solid-state practice amp with bass/treble-only EQ and limited gain—it cannot replicate Uberschall saturation without an external distortion pedal. I've set the amp's gain near max to add body, bass at 5 (not higher—keeps palm mutes tight), and treble at 7 for pick attack clarity. The recommended pedal becomes the primary gain source; run it into the amp set relatively clean if you acquire one.

PRO TIPThe galloping riff in 'Unholy Confessions' lives or dies on palm-mute consistency—anchor your picking hand firmly and use downstrokes on the chugs, keeping the motion tight and percussive.
