A clean tube Fender Twin Reverb cannot physically deliver the cascaded high-gain crunch of a Mesa Dual Rectifier on its own. For today, max the amp volume/gain, push the midrange to 8 to counteract the Fender mid-scoop, and roll treble and guitar tone back to tame the single-coil bite. Adding a dedicated distortion pedal like a Boss DS-1 or modern high-gain preamp pedal is necessary to reach the actual record saturation, after which you would set amp gain to 2-3.
