Why these settings

The original uses a Bogner Uberschall which is tighter and more aggressive than the Spider IV's Insane channel. The Spider runs gain hot, so 6 avoids fizz while the SD-1 in front compensates by adding compression and cutting low-end mud. Mid is scooped to 4 (original was around 5.5 on a mid-forward Bogner) because the Spider's Insane voicing is already darker. Treble pushed to 7 recovers the pick attack bite. Spider IV 15 has no presence knob.

PRO TIPPalm-mute directly over the bridge pickup pole pieces for the tight, percussive 'chunk' on the main riff — muting too close to the neck softens the attack and loses the Uberschall's signature aggression.
