Why these settings

The Strandberg's Fishman-style or passive humbuckers have tighter low-end and more clarity than Gates' ceramic Invaders, so bass stays at 5 rather than the Uberschall's typical 5.5. Gain dropped to 7 from the original's ~8 because the GE200's high-gain models saturate faster than a real Uberschall. Mid at 4 maintains the slight scoop Gates uses for note separation on fast legato runs.
