RECOMMENDED — not currently owned. The MG50DFX OD channels lack the tight saturation of a Bogner Uberschall. Run this into the Clean channel with amp gain at 2-3 for defined chug. Alternative: Boss DS-1 with Tone 6, Dist 7, Level 7

Level 7 · Low 4 · High 6 · Mid 6 · Mid Freq 5 · Dist 6
Why these settings

The original uses a Bogner Uberschall's cascading high-gain into a tight 4x12 — your MG50DFX OD2 channel is voiced looser and fizzier with less midrange definition. I've pushed mid +1 over the original's setting to compensate for the MG's scooped voicing, and treble stays at 7 for pick attack. The MG lacks presence control so that's null. Without an external distortion pedal, the tone will be serviceable but lack the original's surgical tightness — a Metal Zone or similar running into the clean channel would get you closer.

PRO TIPSynyster palm-mutes with his hand positioned closer to the bridge saddles than most players — this tightens the low-end chug dramatically. Also tune to Drop D and use 0.010-0.052 gauge strings for that heavy bottom-end tension he gets on the recording.
