The original JCM800 is mid-forward with natural bite around 2-3kHz. Your Champion 50XL's Overdrive channel with American voicing gets you closer to that Marshall bark than the Fender-voiced setting. I pushed mid to 7 to compensate for the Fender's naturally scooped voicing. Gain stays low at 3 because 'Like a Stone' is NOT a high-gain track — it's a warm, slightly broken-up clean tone.
