Why these settings

The studio riff relies heavily on discrete fuzz saturation into a clean/edge-of-breakup tube amp; the Frontman 15G's drive channel sounds thin and fizzy, so the amp is set clean with an external fuzz pedal recommended as the primary gain source. To compensate for the Squier Strat's brighter single coils compared to Turner's Gretsch Filter'Tron humbuckers, mid is boosted to 7, treble is pulled back to 5, and the guitar tone is rolled down to 8 to thicken the attack. Note that the Frontman 15G has no built-in presence or reverb controls, so those parameters are null.

PRO TIPDig in hard with a thick pick near the bridge, keeping fretting-hand muting razor-tight between the syncopated riff hits to mimic the gated studio fuzz decay.
