RECOMMENDED — not currently owned. Your single-coil Strat lacks the hot humbucker output Cantrell used; a distortion pedal will add the necessary saturation and compression. If using a RAT, set Filter to 4, Distortion to 6, Volume to 7.
The original used a hot Seymour Duncan JB humbucker into a Bogner/Mesa stack — your Strat's single coils are brighter and lower output. Bass raised +1 to compensate for the Strat's thinner low-end, mid scooped to 4 for Cantrell's signature grunge hollow, treble kept moderate because singles already have treble bite. The Crate GFX-212's solid-state gain saturates differently than tube Bogners — it stays tighter but less harmonically rich, so we push gain to 8 and strongly recommend an external distortion pedal to achieve the thick, compressed chunk of the original.
