RECOMMENDED — not currently owned; critical to get Sammy Duet's iconic Louisiana sludge grind
The Champion 25 utilizes a two-band EQ without a dedicated mid control or presence control, so both are nulled. To capture the buzzsaw grind of Duet's cranked Marshall/Ampeg rigs without pedals, run the amp on the Metal channel with Gain at 8 and Treble pushed to 7 to inject aggressive bite into your bridge humbucker. If you acquire an HM-2 or clone later, dial back amp gain to 2-3 on the Clean channel and let the pedal supply the signature chainsaw filth.
