Why these settings

The Palco 500 is a basic solid-state practice amp with limited gain and EQ range. Without the DOD 250 (or similar overdrive), you cannot achieve Yngwie's singing sustain — the amp alone will sound thin and fizzy at high gain. I've set mid lower (3) to approximate the scooped Marshall character, treble high (7) for the Strat-like bite Yngwie gets, and reverb moderate (3) since the original has subtle room ambience only. Your Cort X300's humbuckers are hotter than Yngwie's single coils, so gain is kept at 6 rather than higher.

PRO TIPYngwie's 'violin tone' comes from aggressive pick attack near the bridge combined with instant volume swells using his pinky on the guitar's volume knob — practice rolling from 0 to 10 mid-note to eliminate pick attack and create that bowed sustain effect heard throughout the song.
