01Overdrive (TS-style or Blues Driver)

RECOMMENDED — not currently owned. For the lead sections with bends and sustain (tabs show 12b, vibrato), a mild overdrive stacks with your amp's edge-of-breakup to get that singing sustain. A Boss BD-2 or Joyo Vintage Overdrive gets you there affordably.

02Digital Delay (Boss DD-3 style)

RECOMMENDED — not currently owned. Short slapback to medium delay (~300-400ms) thickens the lead lines without washing them out. Any basic digital delay works.

Why these settings

Your Strat's single coils are brighter and lower output than the likely humbucker-equipped guitar on the original. I pushed mids to 6 and kept treble at 6 to compensate for the Strat's natural scoop and add body. Gain at 4 on your Ving Fb100 gives light breakup — the original has controlled crunch, not heavy distortion. Roll tone knob to 7 to tame the Strat's ice-pick highs on the neck+middle position.

PRO TIPFor the tapping section at the end of the lead (tabs show 8-5-8 patterns with tapping up to fret 17), use your neck pickup alone with tone at 5 and pick closer to the fretboard — this softens the attack and makes hammer-ons and tapping sustain more evenly without a compressor.
