Your JEM's DiMarzio Evolution humbuckers are hotter and brighter than Eddie's vintage PAF, so I dropped treble from 7 to 6 and gain from 8.5 to 7 to avoid fizz and maintain that warm, compressed character. Rolling the tone knob to 7 tames the Evolution's upper-mid spike to get closer to PAF warmth.
