Use as a clean boost/EQ shaper only — Dist at 0 lets the Brown channel provide all saturation. This mimics the TS9 mid-push role.
The 6505+ is a tight, aggressive high-gain amp; the Katana's Brown channel (Marshall-derived) is mid-forward but less compressed. Gain is pulled to 7 (vs original 8.5) because the ML-2 at unity with Dist at 0 adds front-end push. Mids stay at 4 to preserve the original's scooped character — the Katana's Brown voice is already mid-heavy, so going higher muddies palm mutes. Your ESP's passive humbuckers are lower output than active EMGs, so the boost engagement compensates.
