Why these settings

The Katana's Brown channel emulates the Marshall-style voicing but with the boost engaged it pushes into Rectifier territory. Your Solar's active-style humbuckers run hotter than the PRS originals, so gain is pulled back from 10 to 8. Mids stay scooped at 3 to match the Rectifier's signature scoop, but bass is lowered to 4 (vs original 6) because the extended range 7-string adds inherent low-end mass in Drop C.

PRO TIPPalm mute with your hand positioned closer to the bridge saddles than usual—the Rectifier tone on this track gets its chunk from extremely tight muting, and looser mutes will sound flubby on a 7-string in Drop C.
