RECOMMENDED — not currently owned
The original Strokes tone relies on a Fender DeVille pushed by the distortion/OD side of a Visual Sound Jekyll & Hyde. On the Yamaha THR30II, use the Crunch amp type in Classic mode to capture that punchy, articulate British/American hybrid breakup without needing external dirt. Since your Jaguar HH has warmer, hotter humbuckers than single coils, mid and treble are set to 7 to keep the aggressive cut and bite of the main riff. The recording is completely dry, so keep reverb at 0.
