Why these settings

Keith achieved the iconic saxophone-mimicking tone using the historic Gibson Maestro FZ-1 into a clean studio amp. Because the Revstar RSS20 has modern, slightly hotter humbuckers than vintage PAFs, roll the guitar tone back slightly to tame excess treble bite. Keep the Tank Mini amp model on a clean Fender-style voice with low preamp gain (2) to let the buzzy square-wave fuzz do 100% of the distortion without muddying up.

PRO TIPPick firmly right near the bridge with downstrokes and mute immediately between the riff notes—the original Maestro FZ-1 had a naturally gated, spitty decay that gave the line its punchy horn-section phrasing.
