RECOMMENDED — not currently owned
The Fender Twin Reverb has massive clean headroom and a naturally scooped mid EQ, so it cannot produce Hendrix's cranked Marshall fuzz saturation on its own. Push the amp's Middle knob to 8 to fill in the American mid-scoop, turn the Bright switch OFF to tame harsh high-end, and roll guitar tone back to 8 to shave off excessive single-coil ice-pick frequencies. To get the actual recorded tone, add a Germanium Fuzz Face in front of the Twin's clean channel.
