01NUX Blues OD block (Boss BD-2 model)
Primary gain source to emulate the BD-2 into the KTG-1 DI preamp
02NUX Analog Delay block (Carbon Copy model)
Set to quick slapback (~110ms) to give the riff its characteristic space
Because the original tone was tracked direct-inject into a studio preamp with single-coils, we use a clean Twin Reverb model with the bright switch engaged to replicate that hi-fi sparkle. Since the ESP LTD EC-256 has warm humbuckers, keeping the treble high and cutting bass prevents mud while matching the bright single-coil bite of Kevin Parker's rig. The NUX Blues OD provides the gritty top-end breakup before the clean DI-style amp stage.
