Why these settings

The Mesa 400 Plus is naturally mid-forward with powerful lows; the IMusic TS112 is clean/modern, so mids were pushed to 7 to replicate that vocal presence and bass was pulled to 6 to avoid muddiness. The Squier PJ's bridge J pickup adds Rickenbacker-style midrange grind when blended with the P; tone knob at 8 keeps finger attack definition without excessive brightness.

PRO TIPPlay high on the neck (7th-12th fret range) with your fretting hand's first and third fingers only, keeping the hammer-ons light and subtle — this floats the bassline melodically above the root without competing with the guitar's jangle.
