The M-Vave Blackbox models the Fender amp platform well, so we run the internal TS9 overdrive block with low drive and high level to deliver SRV's signature mid-hump and touch dynamics. Single coils on the Squier Affinity Strat benefit from slightly bumped mids and bass to simulate Stevie's heavy string gauge and massive 15-inch speaker punch. For the final outro solo, flick the pickup selector to the neck position.
