01High-Gain Distortion / Preamp Pedal

RECOMMENDED — not currently owned; a modern high-gain dirt pedal (like an EVH 5150 Overdrive or Revv G3/G4) into a clean channel is needed to reach authentic Dual Rectifier saturation

Gain 8 · Bass 6 · Mid 4 · Treble 7 · Level 7
Why these settings

Because your amp model is unrecognized, universal controls are dialed with pushed gain and cut mids to emulate the Dual Rectifier core tone. To compensate for the brighter, lower-output single coils on your Strat compared to the original Les Paul humbuckers, bridge tone is rolled back slightly to 8 and amp treble is kept moderate. Reverb is set to 0 to keep fast, palm-muted drop-tuned chugs tight and focused.

PRO TIPUse heavy, sharp palm-muting right against the bridge saddles on the low dropped string and pick with aggressive downstrokes to mimic the tight, percussive attack of the record without flubbing out.
