The studio arrangement is 60s pop-inspired and piano-driven, so to make a lead guitar cut with a warm distorted solo tone on the Sonicake Pocket Master, we use a British-style crunch/lead model pushed by an onboard overdrive block. Using the Stratocaster's neck pickup with the tone knob rolled off to 7 tames single-coil glassiness and yields a thick, vocal-like sustain.
