The original lead was tracked with a higher-output humbucker through a saturated British stack, so the Strat bridge pickup needs a slight bass lift and a pre-amp overdrive boost block to add thickness. Setting the mids forward on the M-Vave amp model maintains the singing vocal-like sustain without getting shrill. The Strat's bridge tone is rolled back slightly to 9 to tame any single-coil glassiness.
