Why these settings

The Laney RB4 is a clean bass combo, so the Harley Benton Sucker Punch provides the heavy Mesa Dual Rectifier distortion while the amp gain stays at 2 to avoid muddy double-gain. The Vintage Overdrive is run with zero drive and high level into the Sucker Punch to tighten the low-end flub and replicate Kruspe's razor-sharp attack. Engaging the Clapton Strat's active TBX/mid boost slightly thickens the single-coil bridge pickup toward active EMG 81 territory.

PRO TIPEngage the Clapton Strat's active mid boost to roughly 4-5 to give the bridge Lace Sensor pickup the thick, compressed midrange punch of an active EMG humbucker.
