Why these settings

Gilmour used a high-headroom Hiwatt DR103 driven by a Ram's Head Big Muff and Colorsound Power Boost into a Telecaster. On the Katana 50 MkII, select the Lead voice with the onboard Muff Fuzz boost engaged to deliver that endless singing sustain without an external pedal. Because the Les Paul has warmer, higher-output humbuckers than Gilmour's bright Telecaster bridge pickup, treble is pushed to 6 and tone is rolled back slightly to 8 to maintain top-end bite while preventing low-mid mud.

PRO TIPTune your guitar down one whole step (D-G-C-F-A-D) as Gilmour did on the record — the lower string tension slackens the attack, providing the exact spongy feel and harmonic bloom essential for the iconic sustained bends.
