Gilmour ran a Ram's Head Big Muff into a high-headroom Hiwatt DR103, but on the Spider V 20 MkII we engage the onboard Fuzz block into a warm, high-gain amp voice to supply the singing, endless sustain without an external pedal. The treble is trimmed down to 5 and the Pacifica bridge tone rolled off slightly to mimic the dark, smooth violin-like top end of his DiMarzio FS-1 pickup and rotary cabinet. Delay and subtle rotary modulation are added directly from the Spider V's built-in FX engine. For the clean intro and verses, switch the amp to the Clean model and bypass the onboard fuzz and rotary blocks.
