Why these settings

Gilmour's iconic tone relies on a high-sustain fuzz pedal into a crystal-clean, high-headroom Hiwatt power section. The MK-300's clean amp model keeps the low-gain setting (3) to prevent digital clipping while the internal Big Muff block delivers all the singing fuzz saturation. A slight boost to the midrange compensates for the traditional Big Muff mid-scoop to cut through cleanly on a standard Strat bridge pickup. For the clean intro/verses: bypass the Fuzz block, leaving the compressor, modulation, and delay active.

PRO TIPRoll your Strat bridge tone knob down slightly to 8.5 or 9 to take the sharp top-end bite off the single-coil, allowing the Muff block to yield that velvety, fluid violin sustain without harsh fizz.
