Why these settings

The Eko Baio is a practice amp with built-in multi-FX, so all tone shaping happens via its internal effects chain. The Pacifica 112V's Alnico V bridge single-coil is brighter and lower-output than Gilmour's hot DiMarzio FS-1, so treble is dropped to 4 (vs original 5) and mid pushed to 5 to compensate for the thinner voice. Tone knob rolled to 7 to tame ice-pick highs the FS-1 would not produce. The fuzz/distortion block does the heavy lifting — keep amp gain moderate to avoid mud.

PRO TIPGilmour's sustain comes from stacking compression before the Muff, not from maxing fuzz gain. Pick closer to the neck over the end of the fretboard for that vocal, rounded attack — picking near the bridge will sound too thin and harsh on this tone.
