Why these settings

The Katana 50 MkII is set to the Clean channel with low gain (2) to mimic the high-headroom Hiwatt DR103 platform while relying on the internal Muff Fuzz model for Gilmour's signature sustain. The Katana's midrange is pushed to 7 to compensate for the mid-scoop of the Strat single-coils and Big Muff circuit, and the presence knob is omitted since the Katana 50 physical panel lacks one. Rolling the Strat bridge tone back to 8 tames standard single-coil bite to better match Gilmour's hotter DiMarzio FS-1.

PRO TIPPick with the flat edge of a heavy pick slightly near the neck, and dig into sustained bends using wide, wrist-driven vibrato to let the Muff compression bloom into feedback.
