Why these settings

The Fender Mustang LTX is voiced more neutral than the Randall RG100ES solid-state's brutal midrange scoop. To compensate, mids are set to 2 (Dimebag's original was 3 with additional parametric EQ scooping at 800Hz), and presence is maxed at 10 to replicate the glassy, cutting top-end. The Jem Jr's Quantum humbuckers are lower-output than the Bill Lawrence L-500XL, so gain is set to 8 to match the original's aggressive saturation. Select the 'Metal' or 'British Metal' amp model on the Mustang LTX for tight low-end response.

PRO TIPDimebag's squeals came from pinch harmonics executed with pick-edge and thumb contact near the bridge pickup while fretting high on the neck. Attack with downstrokes using the pick's tip, not the shoulder, for that percussive palm-muted gallop tightness.
