Why these settings

The Spider II Insane channel approximates Dime's scooped, high-gain Randall tone. Mids are set to 4 (vs Dime's 3) because the Spider's mid control is narrower and needs slight compensation to avoid fizz. Bass bumped to 7 to replicate the low-end thump from his EQ stacking. Your Dean's humbuckers are hotter than Dime's Bill Lawrence, so gain stays at 8 rather than maxed.

PRO TIPRoll your tone knob to 7 on the neck pickup — this tames the high-frequency fizz from the Spider's digital gain and gives you that creamy, vocal sustain Dime nailed on the outro bends.
