Why these settings

Dimebag's signature attack relies on solid-state clipping pushed by outboard parametric and graphic EQs rather than tube saturation. On the FX-150, use the high-gain solid-state or 5150-style model with the graphic EQ block in front cutting the 400-800Hz midrange while sharply boosting 3.2kHz. The Keipro humbucker needs volume and tone on 10 to replicate the high-output bite of the original Bill Lawrence L500XL.

PRO TIPAnchor your palm mute firmly over the bridge saddles and strike every 16th note with aggressive, hard downward-angled pick attack to produce the signature abrasive percussive chunk.
