Why these settings

Your Vypyr's 6505 model is tighter and more modern-voiced than Rhoads' Marshall, so I pulled bass down to 3 (original was 2 on a bassier amp) and pushed mids to 8 to replicate his aggressive 500Hz EQ boost. Gain at 5 keeps note separation for the fast alternate picking—the Distortion+ pedal is essential to nail the texture. Without the pedal, you can push gain to 7, but you lose some of that tight, defined crunch.

PRO TIPRhoads used a medium Fender 351 pick with precise downstrokes on the main riff. Angle the pick slightly toward the bridge and dig in consistently—his tone sounds huge partly because of attack uniformity, not just gear.
