Why these settings

The BC Rich BCL10 is a basic solid-state practice amp without the Marshall mid-forward voicing or tube compression. Rhoads ran his Marshall relatively clean and used the MXR Distortion+ for grit — without that pedal, you must crank the amp's gain to compensate, but the tone will be fuzzier and less defined. I pushed mids to 8 to emulate the heavy 500Hz EQ boost Rhoads used, and kept bass at 3 to prevent mud on a small speaker. Your Harley Benton's single coils are brighter and lower output than his Les Paul humbuckers, so the gain increase also compensates for that.

PRO TIPRhoads used heavy alternate picking with his wrist anchored for precision — practice the main riff with strict down-up-down-up picking to get that machine-gun articulation. If the tone feels thin, try rolling your tone knob to 7 to fatten the single coils slightly.
